New Delhi, 10th September. Politicians have used human emotions as a toy. Politicians always perplex ordinary citizens. It becomes increasingly difficult to tell what is real and what is not.
Politicians are frequently preoccupied with appeasing voters, and as a result, a new controversy emerges every day.
The same thing happened during the BJP-Congress spat over Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with controversial priest George Ponnaiah during the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. “Jesus is a real God… unlike Shakti,” the priest can be heard saying in the video.
Shehzad Poonawalla, BJP national spokesperson, slammed Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the priest, saying that “it is Rahul Gandhi’s Nafrat Jodo Abhiyan,” adding that “today they met a person like George Ponnaiah, the poster boy of Bharat Jodo Yatra—who challenged, threatened Hindus, and said inappropriate things about Bharat Mata.”
Congress has a long history of anti-Hindu sentiment.”
Kanyakumari: After a video of Rahul Gandhi meeting with controversial Tamil pastor George Ponnaiah went viral, the Congress attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party, claiming that the ruling party at the Center has been spreading lies and that its “typical mischief” is an attempt to undermine the spirit of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra.’
“It’s a completely fake video.” The tweet has nothing to do with what was said in the conversation. We have released the complete text of what was said. “It is typical of the BJP to spread malicious lies in order to undermine the spirit of the Bharat Jodo Yatra,” said Jairam Ramesh. He slammed the BJP for dividing the country, saying, “We are trying to unite people and bring people together because India is broken because of economic inequality, social polarisation, and political centralization.” The BJP is split, while the Congress is united. The BJP believes in uniformity, whereas the Congress believes in unity. The BJP rejects India’s diversity, while the Congress celebrates it.”
He went on to say that the Bharat Jodo Yatra is like Lord Hanuman, bringing ‘Sanjeevani’ for the Congress party’s revival.
“We are determined that this Bharat Jodo Yarta will be a huge success, creating a new political culture and strengthening the Congress party organisation.” “India requires a strong and vibrant Congress, and the Bharat Jodo Yatra is Hanuman’s creation of ‘Sanjeevani’ for Congress,” he added.
Ramesh stated on Twitter that the video bears no resemblance to what is recorded in the audio.
“A heinous tweet from the BJP’s hate factory has gone viral.” It has nothing to do with what is recorded in the audio.
This is typical BJP misbehaviour, which has grown more desperate following the successful launch of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which has elicited such a large response,” he said in a tweet.
Shehzad Poonawalla, BJP national spokesperson, slammed Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the priest, saying that “it is Rahul Gandhi’s Nafrat Jodo Abhiyan,” adding that “today they met a person like George Ponnaiah, the poster boy of Bharat Jodo Yatra—who challenged, threatened Hindus, and said inappropriate things about Bharat Mata.” Congress has a long history of anti-Hindu sentiment.”
“George Ponnaiah, who met Rahul Gandhi, says Jesus is the only God, unlike Shakti (and other Hindu Gods),” Poonawalla said.
He went on to say, “Previously, he was arrested for his bigotry remark, when he said, “I wear shoes because Bharat Mata’s impurities should not contaminate us.”
“Bharat Jodo with Bharat Todo icons?” Poonawalla joked about Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the priest.
Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader on a 150-day Bharat Jodo Yatra, met controversial Catholic priest George Ponnaiah in the Tamil Nadu district of Kanyakumari on Friday.
A video of Rahul Gandhi’s interaction with the Tamil Nadu pastor went viral, with Rahul Gandhi asking, “Jesus Christ is a form of God?” Is that correct?” “He is the real God,” replied Tamil Nadu priest George Ponniah.
Ponniah continues, “God reveals himself (self) as a man, a real person…not like Shakti… As a result, we see a human being.”
Ponniah has a history of making provocative remarks that have gotten him into trouble in the past. In July of last year, he was arrested in Kallikudi, Madurai, for allegedly making a “hate speech” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, DMK Ministers, and others.
Rahul Gandhi met him at Puliyoorkurichy’s Muttidichan Parai Church, where he had camped for a morning break on Friday.
Pastor George Ponnaiah was arrested in July of last year for making anti-Hindu remarks. He made divisive remarks at a meeting in Arumanai, Tamil Nadu, on July 18, 2021.
