Terror in Binyamin a town in Israel is undergoing -Threat Letters Spark Panic Amid Iran Conflict

New Delhi /Tel Aviv, June 19:As Israel’s military confronts escalating conflict with Iran, a disturbing surge in terror incidents has gripped the Binyamin region, exposing vulnerabilities far from the frontlines. From poisoned livestock to coordinated arson attacks and chilling threat letters, residents now fear that domestic terror is quietly unfolding under the shadow of international war.
Poisoned Water, Dead Cows
On Thursday night, an act of bioterrorism struck Ma’aleh HaShalom, a settlement in Binyamin. A container filled with toxic liquid was deliberately placed in a pasture where local cattle grazed. The cows drank from the contaminated water, leading to the death of two animals, while several others showed severe symptoms of poisoning. Initial suspicions point to operatives from the nearby Arab village of Al-Mu’ayir.
The attack has left farmers terrified and unsure of how deep the sabotage runs. “It’s not just the animals under threat,” one resident warned, “this is psychological warfare meant to destabilize us.”
Fire as a Weapon: Daily Arson Terror
In the same week, at least ten separate arson attacks were reported across agricultural sites in the region. Eyewitnesses claimed that the fires were set intentionally and often repeated at the same location for consecutive days. Residents allege that these are not random acts, but a calculated effort to choke food supply lines and destroy livelihoods.
Eitan Rabinowitz, head of Binyamin’s volunteer fire brigade, stated, “Every day we wake up to new fires. We are responding without state support, without resources. We are on our own.”
Death Threats and Quran Verses
In a haunting escalation, a threatening letter was found outside an eastern Binyamin settlement’s entrance gate. The letter cited a radical Quranic verse and contained a direct threat to kill residents. Alongside the note, terrorists placed a symbolic stone barricade—an act that mimics previous attacks by extremist groups. While Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been intensely focused on operations in and around Iran, residents in Judea and Samaria claim they’ve been abandoned. According to multiple accounts, IDF units stationed in Binyamin have limited themselves to defensive posturing and have refrained from preemptive actions.
One particularly controversial incident involved a resident of the Shilo bloc who was arrested and allegedly beaten by soldiers after attempting to protect his herd from attackers. He was released the same night, but not without bruises and a warning.Rabinowitz delivered a stern warning: “As Israel battles external threats from Iran, internal chaos is brewing in Binyamin. With poisoned cattle, burning farmlands, and extremist threats growing, the Israeli home front is becoming an unspoken second battlefield.
