Bihar Govt Transfers 41 IAS Officers in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

Patna, 8th Sept. In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government transferred 41 IAS officers, most of whom were district magistrates, as per a notification from the General Administration Department issued late Saturday. The reshuffle is aimed at streamlining the administrative setup in key departments.

Among the key transfers, Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar has been appointed Managing Director of the Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (COMFED). Sheohar DM Pankaj Kumar will now serve as Director (Primary Education) in the Education Department.

Mohd Nayyar Iqbal, previously Director in the Mines and Geology Department, has been transferred to the Food and Consumer Protection Department as Special Secretary. Jamui DM Rakesh Kumar has taken over as Director (Chakbandi) in the Directorate of Land Records and Survey.

Additionally, Mithlesh Mishra, who was serving as Director (Mid-day Meal) in the Education Department, has been appointed DM of Lakhisarai, while Rohtas DM Navin Kumar has taken up the role of Commissioner in the Transport Department.

Araria DM Inayat Khan has been appointed Registrar in the State Cooperative Societies Department, and Vidya Nand Singh, Deputy Director in the Panchayati Raj Department, will now serve as Director in the Planning Department.

In other notable changes, Begusarai DM Roshan Kushwaha has been transferred to Samastipur as its new DM, and Sheikhpura DM J Priyadarshani has been appointed Director in the Department of Revenue and Land Reform.
