Faridabad: The Bihar Diwas celebrations in Faridabad showcased the state’s vibrant cultural traditions, artistic heritage, and craftsmanship. The event, organized at the Sector-15 Community Hall by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Faridabad on March 23, brought together the Bihar community and other dignitaries, highlighting the state’s rich history and progress.
Speaking at the event, BJP’s National Media Co-Incharge and Spokesperson Sanjay Mayukh lauded the hard-working nature of Biharis, emphasizing their ability to create a home and earn respect wherever they go. “Bihar has made significant strides in infrastructure and governance, and is now poised for rapid economic growth,” he said.

The event featured captivating performances by artists portraying Bihar’s cultural heritage, including traditional Madhubani paintings, folk music, and dance performances. Stalls offering authentic Bihari cuisine like Litti Chokha added to the festive atmosphere. A documentary on Bihar’s history and progress was also screened, drawing appreciation from attendees.

Mayukh highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, under which Bihar Diwas is being celebrated in 75 cities across India. He noted that since the formation of the NDA government, Bihar has seen continuous improvements in education, healthcare, roads, and infrastructure.
“From being a backward state, Bihar is now emerging as a developed and progressive region. With world-class highways, airports, AIIMS, IITs, and IIMs, Bihar is becoming a hub for investments,” he said, encouraging people to visit and explore the state’s cultural and historical landmarks.

BJP State Minister Saroj Jha emphasized Bihar’s historical and cultural legacy, stating, “Bihar is more than just Madhubani paintings, Bhagalpur silk, and litchis. It is becoming an investment destination, contributing significantly to India’s economic growth.” He urged the community to stay connected with Bihar and actively participate in its development.

Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel acknowledged the contribution of Biharis in India’s industrial and economic development, particularly in cities like Faridabad. He stated that Bihar has been a center of knowledge and progress since ancient times and continues to play a pivotal role in the nation’s growth.
