Patna, 27th July. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not attend the Niti Aayog meeting in New Delhi scheduled for Saturday. The state will be represented by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

The reason for Kumar’s absence has not been disclosed. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar noted that this is not the first instance of Kumar missing such meetings, citing a precedent where the previous Deputy Chief Minister represented the state.

The upcoming ninth governing council meeting of the Niti Aayog will focus on the ‘Vikshit Bharat@2047’ document, aiming to advance India towards developed nation status. The council comprises Chief Ministers, Lt Governors of Union territories, and several Union ministers, with PM Modi serving as the chairman.
