New Delhi, 24th May. If you are intending to visit your bank for work in June 2022, then you must contact your local branch to confirm the bank holidays in June as per your region to avoid any trouble.
At the start of every year, the Reserve Bank of India chalks out a plan according to which banks get their yearly leaves. However, it should be observed that banks will remain closed in different states or cities on account of different holidays.
The record of holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India include only Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. There are no festivals in the month of June.
Therefore, if you are planning to visit your bank for work, you must contact your local branch to confirm the bank holidays in June as banks will be closed for 12 days in June.
In May, there were a total of 11 bank holidays. In May, banks were closed on Buddha Purnima applicable in several areas including Agartala, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.

1 – June 2 (Thursday): Maharana Pratap Jayanti/Telangana Foundation Day – Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Telangana
2- 3 June (Friday): Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji – Punjab
3- June 5 (Sunday): Weekly Off
4- June 11: Second Saturday Bank Holiday
5- June 12 (Sunday): Weekly Off
6- June 14 (Tuesday): First King/Saint Guru Kabir Jayanti – Orissa, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab
7- June 15 (Wednesday): Raja Sankranti/YMA Day/Guru Har Gobind’s birthday – Orissa, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir
8- June 19 (Sunday): Weekly Off
9- Wednesday, June 22: Kharchi Puja – Tripura
10- June 25 Saturday: 4th Saturday Bank Holiday
11- June 26 (Sunday): Weekly off
12- June 30 (Wednesday): Ramana Ni – Mizoram.
