Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, inaugurates an Indo-Pak border viewing point in Gujarat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah dedicated the Indo-Pak border viewing point in Nada Bet, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, on Sunday.

According to the Gujarat Tourism website, Nada Bet is a small spit of land jutting into a vast lake where the “Seema Darshan (border viewing) for tourists is organized.

“It allows visitors to see the inner workings of an army post on India’s border.” The retreat ceremony against the backdrop of a glorious orange sunset where the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans put up a gallant show of marching with pride to end another day of guarding the borders, is one of the activities and sights that will interest the traveler, according to the website.
It went on to say that a weapon display and photo gallery at Nada Bet includes guns, tanks, and other sophisticated devices that aid in the security of the border and inland areas. A camel show is presented to visitors as an ode to camels and to showcase their expertise and discipline.
On the eve of the inauguration, Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel prayed at the Nadeshwari Mata Temple in Banaskantha.

Later in the day, Shah will attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited in Gandhinagar.

The Union Minister will also open the Gandhinagar office of the Gujarat State Co-Operative Marketing Federation, GUJCOMASOL. Today, in the evening, he will launch the Adarsh Sahakari Gram programme in Ahemdabad.
