New Delhi, 14th Oct. After the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party leaders are debating whether Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav will get along or if their relationship will deteriorate. People speculate that the absence of the family patriarch is to blame for the relationship’s decline. Akhilesh and Shivpal were repeatedly spotted together as Mulayam Singh’s condition worsened. Leaders of various political parties visited the hospital to check on Netaji’s health after he was moved to the ICU earlier this month.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders are currently debating whether or not Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav will get along after the passing of Mulayam Singh Yadav or if their relationship will deteriorate. People believe that the absence of the family patriarch is the cause of the soreness in the relationship. Akhilesh and Shivpal were frequently spotted together as Mulayam Singh’s condition worsened. Leaders of various political parties visited the hospital to see Netaji, after he was moved to the ICU earlier this month.
Akhilesh, Shivpal, and Ram Gopal Yadav were already at the hospital. The three leaders were visible in the hospital together in a number of the pictures that the SP posted on Twitter.
After Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away, the two of them took his body to his village of Saifai. Akhilesh, Shivpal, and Aditya were on the truck transporting the body the following day as it was being brought to the Saifai Mela grounds for the final browsing. On stage, the Yadav family stood united. At one point, Shivpal consoled Akhilesh by placing his hand on his shoulder. The SP President at the time appeared to be very upset.
When SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya bestowed flowers to Ram Gopal Yadav on stage to place on Mulayam Singh’s body, Ram Gopal instructed Maurya to also handover them to Shivpal Yadav who was seated nearby. Following that, Ram Gopal and Shivpal decorated the body together.
Shivpal responded when asked by reporters in Saifai, if this would mark the start of a new chapter for him and Akhilesh: “It’s not the right time now. When the appropriate moment arrives, we’ll see.” Shivpal reiterated, “This is not the time to make a decision,” even though he is prepared to serve as the Samajwadi Party’s patron. Akhilesh and Shivpal’s bitter conflict
A struggle between the two for control of the party erupted in 2016, after Mulayam Singh Yadav appointed Akhilesh Yadav Chief Minister in 2012. Shivpal was stripped of all ministerial positions by Akhilesh Yadav on September 13, 2016. Shivpal became the state’s President thanks to Mulayam Singh. The family argument grew more heated after that. Ram Gopal immediately declared the CM’s support as soon as Akhilesh took control of SP in January 2017. Shivpal formed the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party after leaving the SP following the 2017 elections. Earlier this year, the leader ran for assembly using the SP symbol and teamed up with his nephew to win the Jaswantnagar constituency. The old disagreement between Akhilesh and his uncle regarding the performance of the party, however, flared up again. Shivpal claimed that the SP had barred him from attending party meetings for the alliance and legislature. In response, the SP chief reminded his uncle that he was not a party member and suggested that he concentrate on building up his organization.
