Hisar- President Droupadi Murmu attended the convocation ceremony of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology on March 10, 2025, emphasizing the crucial role of higher education in shaping India’s future.
Addressing the gathering, the President underscored the need for educational institutions to equip students with skills aligned with evolving global demands. She highlighted the significance of extending the benefits of education and technology to rural areas, commending the university for its high enrollment of students from small towns and villages. She urged students to raise awareness about the importance of education in their communities.
President Murmu stressed that world-class research in higher education institutions is vital to India’s goal of becoming a global knowledge superpower. Acknowledging the university’s contributions in research and innovation, she praised its incubation, start-up, and patent filing initiatives, expressing confidence that these efforts would foster entrepreneurship and innovation among students.
