New Delhi, 7th May. Actor and television personality Shekhar Suman made headlines today as he officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the day of the third phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP headquarters in the presence of senior party leaders, including National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and National Media Department In-Charge Anil Baluni, Suman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to align himself with the party.
“I did not anticipate this decision until yesterday. Life is full of surprises, and sometimes, we receive guidance from a higher power. I am here with a positive mindset, guided by a sense of duty towards the nation,” Suman stated in Hindi.
He emphasized the importance of action over mere words and pledged to contribute meaningfully to the BJP’s vision and objectives. Suman also extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP chief JP Nadda for their leadership.
In a significant development, Radhika Khera, former national coordinator of the Congress’ media department, also joined the BJP alongside Suman, showing the party’s growing influence and appeal among prominent figures from various backgrounds.
