Florida, 6th Nov. Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, received high praise from Trump at a massive rally in Florida on Wednesday. “A star is born,” Trump declared, causing an eruption of cheers from the crowd.

Musk’s support for Trump’s re-election campaign has been well-documented, with the billionaire pouring approximately $120 million into backing the former president’s bid for a second term. He has also transformed his platform, X (formerly Twitter), into a crucial tool for Trump’s campaign.

Trump acknowledged Musk’s significant role, recalling their time together campaigning in Pennsylvania. “He is an amazing guy… We spent two weeks in Philadelphia and different parts of Pennsylvania campaigning,” Trump said. The former president also highlighted Musk’s SpaceX achievement in catching its Super Heavy booster rocket mid-air, calling it a groundbreaking feat.

“Only Elon could do it,” Trump remarked, describing the rocket’s descent as resembling a “space age movie” and praising the “gentle” landing. “It came down and wrapped its arms around it, just like a beautiful baby,” Trump added. He even shared a personal moment, recounting how he called Musk after the event. “I asked him, ‘Was that you?’ and he said, ‘Who else can do that?’”

Trump further expressed his admiration for Musk, calling him “one of our geniuses” and stressing the importance of protecting such individuals. “We don’t have many of them,” he said.

While Trump has floated the idea of Musk playing a key role in his administration, he clarified that Musk would not be a member of his Cabinet, though he hinted Musk could serve as his “secretary of cost-cutting.”

As of now, with the election still unfolding, Trump is nearing the 270 electoral votes needed to secure a victory. He has already claimed crucial swing states including North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
