Mulayam Singh is the Name of the Survivor; His Family is India’s Largest Political Clan

New Delhi, 11th Oct. The largest political family in the nation is that of Mulayam Singh Yadav. His son, Akhilesh Yadav, became the Chief Minister, and he appointed six members of his family to the House of Representatives. Mevaram had two sons, Sugar Singh and Bachilal Singh. Among them were Shivpal Singh Yadav, Ratan Singh, Abhay Ram Singh, Rajpal Singh, and Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam is the third-oldest brother, and Shivpal is the youngest. The family has more than 25 members who are politically engaged.

1. Abhay Ram Yadav: Mulayam had five brothers, with Abhay Ram being the oldest. His son is Dharmendra Yadav. Dharmendra has served as a member of Parliament three times. He was first chosen from Mainpuri to serve in the Lok Sabha in 2004. After that, he won from Badaun again in 2009 and 2014. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, he was defeated. Dharmendra recently ran as the SP’s candidate in the by-election for the Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat. But he had to admit defeat.

2. Ratan Singh Yadav: Out of Mulayam Singh’s five brothers, Ratan Singh is the second youngest. Ratan Singh’s grandson, Tej Pratap Yadav, is a former Member of Parliament from Mainpuri. Ranveer Singh is the father of Tej Pratap.

3. Mulayam Singh Yadav: Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on November 22, 1939, and actively participated in the Lohia movement. Out of the five brothers, Mulayam is the third. On October 4, 1992, he founded the Samajwadi Party. Malti Devi was Mulayam Singh’s first wife. The parents of Akhilesh Yadav are Mulayam and Malti Devi. With Sadhna Gupta, Mulayam entered a second marriage. Sadhna and Mulayam’s son Prateek Yadav. Prateek Yadav avoids the political arena. He’s a gym owner. Aparna Yadav, his wife, has unquestionably entered politics. On an SP ticket, Aparna ran for office in 2017 from Lucknow Cantt. She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during the most recent legislative elections.

4. Rajpal Singh Yadav: Rajpal Singh Yadav is the fourth brother mentioned among Mulayam’s five brothers. Mulayam’s elder brother is Rajpal. Anshul, the son of Rajpal, is a politician as well. For the second consecutive election, Anshul was chosen unopposed as district panchayat President. Premlata Yadav, the spouse of Rajpal, is also active in politics. In 2005, Premlata entered politics. Premlata is the first female politician in the Mulayam Singh Yadav family. Following this, the wives of Shivpal Singh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, and Prateek Yadav, Aparna Yadav, all entered politics.

5. Shivpal Singh Yadav: Shivpal Singh Yadav is the youngest of Mulayam’s brothers. Shivpal Singh Yadav is credited with giving Mulayam Singh Yadav the most political support, according to legend. In a public forum, Mulayam himself brought up this subject. Akhilesh Yadav, the eldest son of Mulayam Yadav, and Shivpal Singh Yadav had a falling out before the 2017 assembly elections, and Shivpal started a new party. Shivpal represents the Jaswantnagar district as an MLA. Aditya Yadav, his son, is also involved in politics.

6. Professor Ramgopal Yadav: Professor Ramgopal Yadav is the nephew of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s uncle Bacchi Lal Singh. Bachilal is a father to two kids. Daughter Geeta Yadav and son Ramgopal. Also involved in politics is Ramgopal.

On the SP ticket, he was elected MP for Firozabad in 2014. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.

Mulayam’s younger brother Shivpal Singh Yadav’s wife is Sarla Yadav. Sarla was appointed the District Cooperative Bank Etawah’s state representative in 2007.

Sandhya Yadav: Sandhya Yadav, the niece of Mulayam and the sister of the late MP Dharmendra Singh Yadav, has also made an attempt at entering politics. She began her political career as President of the zilla panchayat. She was chosen as the Zilla Panchayat President from Mainpuri without any opposition.

Sheela Yadav: Sheela Yadav, Dharmendra Singh Yadav’s second sister, is also involved in politics. She has served in the Zilla Panchayat three times.

Rahul, Sheela’s son, is wed to Dr. Isha, a sister-in-law of Lalu Yadav, the former Chief Minister of Bihar, and a daughter of Sadhu Yadav.

Pramod Kumar Gupta: Sadhna Gupta is the brother-in-law of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife. From the Auraiya district’s Bidhuna area, Pramod has served as an MLA.

Hari Om Yadav: o On the SP ticket, he was elected in 2012 and 2017. Ratan Singh Yadav is the father of Ranveer, who is Mulayam’s older sibling. Tej Pratap, a son of Ranveer and Mridula, has also served as a Mainpuri MP. He recently joined the BJP.

Anurag Yadav: The younger brother of Dharmendra Yadav, Anurag, has also made an attempt at political activism. He was a candidate for the SP in the 2017 Lucknow assembly elections from the Sarojini Nagar seat. Anurag didn’t win the election, though.

The Samajwadi Party was founded in 1992

Mulayam Singh Yadav founded the Samajwadi Party in 1992. Mulayam Singh Yadav deserves all the credit for the position the Samajwadi Party holds in the nation today. Mulayam Singh Yadav led the party to numerous electoral victories. The Samajwadi Party won an overwhelming majority in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2012.

Three times as Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister

Mulayam Singh Yadav served as Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister three times. In 1989, he first assumed the position of Chief Minister. He served for a period of 1,201 days. In 1993, Mulayam Singh Yadav was elected Chief Minister for a second time. He served for one year and six months. He was also elected Chief Minister for the third time in 2003 at the same time.

Mulayam served as the nation’s Defense Minister

With time, Mulayam Singh Yadav came to be regarded as one of the nation’s major figures. The Samajwadi Party’s standing grew in Uttar Pradesh as well. Because of this, Mulayam Singh Yadav was able to rise above local politics and win the position of Defense Minister in the Central Government in 1996.

Mulayam served as the cooperative bank Director

Additionally, Mulayam Singh Yadav served as the Director of the cooperative banks in Etawah and Jaswantnagar. In addition, Mulayam Singh Yadav used to work as a teacher in a school before entering politics. Mulayam quit his position as a teacher after entering politics.

State Minister in the Congress Government

In 1977, Mulayam Singh Yadav was appointed to his first cabinet position. In Uttar Pradesh, there was a wave of anti-Congress sentiment at the time, which led to the Janata Party forming its government. In parallel, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s appointment as a Minister of State in the year 1980 led to the return of the Congress government. Mulayam Chaudhary then took on the position of President of Charan Singh’s Lok Dal, but he lost the subsequent assembly elections.
