New Delhi, 25th July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called President Ram Nath Kovind’s farewell address to the nation “inspiring” and said it demonstrated his commitment to national progress.
President Kovind urged youths to stay connected to their roots and urged everyone to protect the environment for future generations, saying mother nature is in pain and the climate crisis threatens the planet’s very future.
In his farewell address to the nation, Kovind emphasised that India is preparing to make the twenty-first century “the century of India.”
Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “An inspiring address by President Kovind.”
“His remarks reflect the spirit with which he served the nation as our President and showcase his passion for national progress,” PM Modi said.
On Monday, President-elect Droupadi Murmu will be sworn in as the country’s 15th President.
Kovind praised India’s democracy in his final televised address to the nation, saying it has “created pathways to allow each citizen to participate in the shaping of our collective destiny.”
