MP Municipal Poll Result: BJP Wins Big in Satna, Khandwa, and Burhanpur

Bhopal, 17th July. The Madhya Pradesh Municipal Election Result 2022 Phase 1 vote counting is underway today. BJP’s mayor candidates won effortlessly in Burhanpur, Satna, and Khandwa.

Malti Rai, the BJP’s mayor candidate in Bhopal, is presently leading the race with 23,943 votes. She has received 98,185 votes thus far, compared to 77,953 votes received by Congress candidate Vibha Patel.

Rani Agrawal of the Aam Aadmi Party holds a big lead of 6,089 votes in Singrauli, moving her closer to the mayorship. Arvind Chandel of the Congress is second with 19,484 votes, while the BJP is third with 19,065 votes.

On July 6, elections in the first phase were held for 133 civic bodies, comprising 11 municipal corporations, 36 municipal councils, and 86 town councils.

Mayoral elections were conducted in 11 municipalities, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar, Satna, Singrauli, Chhindwara, Khandwa, Burhanpur, and Ujjain. There are a total of 101 people contesting for mayoral posts.

On July 20, the votes for the second phase of the MP municipal elections will be counted.
