New Delhi, 28th June. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu paid tribute to former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary on Tuesday, saying he ushered in key economic reforms.
Rao was born on this date in 1921 in Karimnagar, now Telangana, and today marks his 101st birthday.
“He was a visionary statesman and a towering intellectual who brought about major economic reforms. Shri Rao was a multifaceted personality, a renowned polyglot, scholar, and writer. He will be remembered forever for his contribution to nation-building,” the VP Secretariat tweeted, quoting Naidu.
