The Prime Minister expresses his condolences for the loss of life in a road accident in Assam’s Biswanath district

New Delhi, 17thApril. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life in a road accident in Assam’s Biswanath district. He also prayed for the injured to recover quickly.

The Prime Minister’s Office issued the following tweet:

“I am saddened by the loss of life in a road accident in Assam’s Biswanath district. Condolences to the families of those who have died. I hope the injured recover as soon as possible: Prime Minister @narendramodi ”

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also expressed his condolences for the incident and directed the administration to monitor the health of those injured.

“Deeply saddened by the loss of five young lives in a tragic road accident in Biswanath last night.” “My heartfelt condolences to the families of Sanjay Basumatary (17), Koliman Basumatary (21), Bornali Boro (15), Budhimoti Boro (14) and Radhika Daimary (15),” CM Sarma tweeted.

“The victims were driving home from a Bihu function.” Five people were injured and were taken to Gohpur Civil Hospital and the Catholic Hospital in Borgang. I’ve asked the administration to keep an eye on the situation and to provide the injured with any assistance they may require. “I pray for their quick recovery,” he added on Twitter. (ANI)
