Shimla, 10th April. Bharatiya Janata Party president JP Nadda on Sunday put a full stop on all the speculations and said that the party (BJP) won’t replace Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

Nadda said that the upcoming state Assembly elections will be contested under Jai Ram Thakur’s leadership.

The BJP chief said this when asked about Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia’s claim that Union minister Anurag Singh Thakur will replace Jai Ram Thakur as the Himachal CM.

Nadda said that Jai Ram Thakur is doing great work with full sincerity and he will continue with it in future.

Nadda said that Jai Ram Thakur will not be replaced and the Bharatiya Janata Party will contest the Assembly polls under his leadership.

To another query, the BJP chief said that none of the state ministers will be changed. He, however, said 10 to 15 percent of sitting party MLAs may not get a ticket in the polls.

Nadda added, 10 to 15 percent BJP MLAs did not get a ticket in the UP Assembly polls and it is likely to happen here too.

The Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh are scheduled for later this year.

While earlier the polls always remained a bipolar contest between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party, this time AAP is trying to gain a foothold in Himachal.
