Mumbai, 1st April. The Nationalist Congress Party on Thursday informed that the ‘Janta Darbar’ will resume from April 4, 2022.

NCP’s ‘Janta Darbar’ was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic related restrictions.

The decision came after Maharashtra Government on Thursday announced that all COVID-19 restrictions including the wearing of masks in public places will be withdrawn from Saturday.

The Nationalist Congress Party had suspended the ‘Janta Darbar’ following the rise in Covid cases in Maharashtra in February 2021.

“As Corona infection has been largely contained in the state. Therefore, the Chief Minister has decided to relax the rules in the state from April 1,” informed Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Thursday.

“Due to the relaxation of these rules, the party has now decided to resume the Janta Darbar at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Mumbai,” said Pawar.

The ‘Janta Darbar’ is a programme started by the Nationalist Congress Party after the party came to power in Maharashtra. The concept of ‘Janta Darbar’ was put forward by Sharad Pawar.
