BJP Talks of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ But Creates Rift Between People, Alleges Chhattisgarh CM Baghel

Sultanpur, 21st Feb. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that it creates a rift between people despite talks of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

Addressing a public rally at Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Congress leader said, “They (BJP) talk of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which means the world is one family but behaves differently which divides people.”

“Our government (in Chhattisgarh) waived off loans of farmers without any difference be it loan of Rs 20,000 or Rs 20 lakh. They (BJP) are trying to divide farmers,” Baghel added.

Bhupesh Baghel is the senior observer for the Congress party for the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

61.02 percent voting was recorded in the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls on Sunday for 59 assembly constituencies.

Polling started at 7 am and went on till 6 pm.

Voting was held across 16 districts – Firozabad, Hathras, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Hamirpur, and Mahoba. A total of 627 candidates tried their fate in the third phase of the election on Sunday.
