Big Decisions of CM Channi, Cases against Farmers Organizations will be Cancelled

Chandigarh, 2nd Oct. Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Punjab, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has taken big decisions on Saturday. The Chief Minister has given a big relief to the farmer protesters. He has ordered to withdraw the cases registered against the farmers’ organizations who have been protesting on the railway track. These cases were registered by RPF (Railway Protection Force).

The RPF had registered cases against the farmer protesters for demonstrating on the railway track. But now orders have been given to take them back. The Chief Minister has written a letter to the Chairman of RPF asking him to implement it immediately.

Apart from this, a big decision has also been taken regarding the Ashirwad scheme. The income limit set earlier for this scheme has been removed. This scheme was implemented for the girls who lost their parents to Covid-19.

The Chief Minister of Punjab has also allowed family pension for government employees appointed with effect from January 1, 2004.

CM Charanjit Singh Channi took big decisions even after the first cabinet meeting. He decided to waive off the bills of 80 per cent of the people using electricity up to two kilowatts. He said that the government will pay the outstanding bills, due to which the government will have to bear the burden of Rs 1200 crore.
