Jammu, 27th May: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday issued a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that if it continues to harbour terrorists, its very existence could be erased. His remarks came during a theatrical tribute to Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s epic Rashmirathi, organised by the University of Jammu.

Mr Sinha saluted the courage of Indian armed forces and lauded their decisive action against the “terrorist nation” through Operation Sindoor. “India has warned terror state Pakistan that our forces can strike every inch of its land. If it continues to nurture terrorism, its existence could be wiped off the face of the earth,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor also praised the youth for upholding democratic values and protecting the nation’s integrity. “I am proud that our young generation is fulfilling the dreams of our founding fathers. They are ensuring that the terror state is punished for its misadventures,” he added.

He urged students to actively contribute to India’s future development, much like soldiers guard the nation’s frontiers. “Our young minds must dedicate themselves to innovation and economic progress,” he said.

Paying tribute to Dinkar, Sinha said the poet’s verses are timeless and resonate with India’s cultural ethos, nationalism and resilience. “Dinkar is a towering literary figure whose poetry breathes life into history and inspires generations. His Rashmirathi reflects ancient values of dharma and righteousness, which are more relevant than ever in today’s world,” he said.

The performance was dedicated to the armed forces who, according to the L-G, taught Pakistan a lesson through their courage and justice. He said the epic narrative stands as a metaphor for India’s moral and military resolve in the face of adversity.
