YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra’s Armed Escort in Pakistan Raises Eyebrows Amid Espionage Probe

New Delhi, 26th May: The arrest of Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra on charges of spying for Pakistan has taken a dramatic turn after a viral video revealed her moving through Lahore’s Anarkali Bazar flanked by six armed men carrying AK-47s — a level of protection that stunned even fellow foreign travelers.

Scottish YouTuber Callum Mill, who runs the channel Callum Abroad, filmed the encounter during his visit to Pakistan in March. In his video, Jyoti is seen casually interacting with him, asking if it was his first trip to Pakistan and later commenting on the country’s hospitality. However, the real shock came moments later when Callum realized the gunmen were escorting her.

“She’s the one with all the security… What’s the need for all the guns?” Callum says in his video, showing Jyoti surrounded by heavily armed men wearing jackets emblazoned with “No Fear”.

The men, not in official uniform, are presumed to be security personnel in plain clothes. Other individuals, appearing to be tourists or companions, were also seen accompanying Jyoti — raising further questions about her unusually privileged access in Pakistan.

The video has amplified suspicions about Jyoti Malhotra’s alleged links to Pakistani intelligence. Police sources claim she was invited to elite parties in Pakistan, where she met officials from the country’s security apparatus, and reportedly stayed in touch with them even after returning to India.

Investigators are currently scanning her digital devices to determine what sensitive information may have been shared. Her lavish lifestyle has also come under scrutiny. Despite modest declared earnings, Jyoti routinely travelled first class, stayed in luxury hotels, and dined at upscale restaurants — all pointing to what authorities describe as a “sponsored trip.”

Shortly after her Pakistan tour, Jyoti also travelled to China, where she was again seen enjoying a high-end lifestyle, complete with luxury car rides and visits to expensive jewellery stores.

The ongoing investigation is expected to probe deeper into her foreign connections, funding sources, and the nature of intelligence she allegedly passed on, even as the video shared by the Scottish YouTuber adds a chilling visual dimension to the espionage charges.
