Mumbai, 17th May: In a move prompted by national security concerns, Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) has announced the immediate termination of all ground handling services provided by Celebi NAS Airport Services at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA). The action follows a directive from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), which revoked Celebi NAS’s security clearance with immediate effect.
In a communication issued by MIAL, the airport operator stated that Indo Thai Airport Management Services has been appointed to take over the ground handling operations. “All existing employees of Celebi NAS at CSMIA will be transferred to the new ground handling agency on their existing terms and conditions of employment,” the statement read.

MIAL officials Vishou Mohon and Vishnu Jha assured that the transition would be seamless, and that ground operations at the airport would continue without disruption. Indo Thai Airport Services will function under the direct supervision of MIAL and operate under the same Service Level Agreements (SLA) and conditions as those previously in place with Celebi NAS.
MIAL reiterated its commitment to maintaining uninterrupted services at the airport and upholding the highest standards of national interest and operational excellence.
