New Delhi, 7th May: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today issued an urgent appeal to all tourists, visitors, and local residents who may possess any further information, photographs, or videos related to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

The probe agency, which is officially leading the investigation into the deadly incident, stated that it has already acquired and is currently scrutinizing a significant number of photographs and videos capturing various aspects of the attack. Officials believe that a thorough examination of this material could yield crucial clues regarding the assailants and their methods.

In a statement released this evening, the NIA emphasized that tourists and others might have inadvertently witnessed, overheard, or captured some pertinent detail that could assist in uncovering the conspiracy behind the unprecedented attack on tourists in Kashmir.

“It has now decided to scale up its efforts even more intensely to ensure that no useful information or evidence is missed out in its investigation into the horrendous crime against humanity,” the NIA stated.

The agency has urged anyone with relevant information to contact them immediately on the following numbers: 96-54-958-816 and/or 011-24368800.

According to the statement, a senior NIA official will personally connect with callers to facilitate the sharing of information, photographs, and videos.

The appeal comes in the wake of the terrorist attack that occurred on April 22, 2025, in Baisaran, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack tragically resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists and left several others injured.

NIA teams have been on the ground in Pahalgam, meticulously examining the attack site for evidence and questioning witnesses to the horrific crime. The agency noted that several photographs and videos related to the attack are already circulating on various social media platforms.
