Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Celebrates BJP’s 46th Foundation Day, Highlights Party’s Growing Influence
Guwahati, April 7: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday marked the 46th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a strong affirmation of the party’s growing footprint both in Assam and across the nation. Speaking to the media in Guwahati, Sarma underscored the BJP’s rising acceptance and expanding influence, crediting it to the party’s consistent efforts to connect with the people and build a robust organizational structure.
“BJP has earned the trust of the people here as well, and we continue to strengthen our presence in every corner of the state,” Sarma stated, highlighting the party’s deepening roots in Assam. He noted that the BJP’s growth in the northeastern region is a reflection of its broader national appeal, supported by the people’s increasing confidence in its leadership and policies.
Speaking on the party’s national impact, Sarma asserted that the BJP has played a defining role in reshaping Indian politics over the last few decades. “The BJP has given the country two Prime Ministers. Prime Minister Modi’s third term is an unprecedented success for us,” he said, calling the ongoing term a symbol of political stability and visionary governance. Sarma credited the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for ushering in a new era of effective administration, economic reforms, and national pride.
Reinforcing the party’s electoral strength, the Chief Minister pointed out that the BJP and its allies currently govern in 21 states across the country. This statistic, he said, stands as a testament to the party’s organizational capacity and its resonance with voters from diverse regions and cultures.
Sarma also took the opportunity to extend his congratulations to BJP National President JP Nadda and the countless party workers who, he said, have tirelessly contributed to the BJP’s growth story. “I congratulate JP Nadda ji and all the workers who have worked for the party’s success,” Sarma said, acknowledging the grassroots strength that continues to fuel the BJP’s momentum.
The 46th Foundation Day celebrations served as both a reflection of the BJP’s political journey and a reaffirmation of its ambitions ahead. With leadership like that of Sarma in Assam and Modi at the national helm, the party appears poised to further consolidate its position in Indian politics.
