Prashant Kishor Backs Vijay’s TVK, Slams DMK Ahead of 2026 Tamil Nadu Polls

Chennai- Jan Suraaj Party Chief Prashant Kishor has extended strong support to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, calling its leader, Vijay, a “new hope” for millions seeking political change.

Speaking at TVK’s one-year celebration on Wednesday, Mr Kishor, who is advising Vijay’s political journey, stated, “Vijay doesn’t need strategy advice. He is not just a political leader but a symbol of change for Tamil Nadu.” He also took a swipe at the ruling DMK, alleging that its governance model is built on “corruption, dynasty, and communalism.”

TVK Chief Vijay, addressing the controversy over the three-language policy, likened the ongoing tussle between the Centre and Tamil Nadu government to a kindergarten fight. “Funds for education have been stopped. Their duty is to provide, and the state’s duty is to secure its rights. Instead, BJP and DMK are engaging in hashtag battles,” he remarked.

Emphasizing grassroots party-building, Vijay asserted that TVK represents the underprivileged. “Our party is for the poor and simple people, not landlords. Those in power today have become landlords, prioritizing wealth over public welfare. Our mission is to remove such elements from politics,” he added.
