“India’s Democracy Was Targeted for Manipulation”: VP Dhankhar on POTUS’ Revelation

New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed shock over the recent revelation by the President of the United States regarding alleged attempts to manipulate India’s democratic process. Speaking at a global meditation conference at Bharat Mandapam, he emphasized the need to root out such interference, calling it a “brutal assault on democratic values.”

Referring to ancient wisdom, the Vice President urged for a decisive response: “We must adopt Chanakya’s teachings and eliminate this threat from the root. Identifying and exposing those who enabled this invasion is our national duty. Only then will India achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation.”

Concerns Over Demographic Disruption and Religious Conversions
VP Dhankhar also raised concerns over “non-organic demographic dislocation,” alleging a well-planned strategy to alter India’s demographic fabric. He warned against foreign-funded religious conversions, stating: “Freedom of religion is enshrined in our Constitution, but it is being exploited through financial inducements and coercion.”

Highlighting historical invasions, he noted the destruction of ancient Indian learning centers like Nalanda and Takshashila, adding that the nation is now reclaiming its lost glory under the current government.

Meditation: A Path to Self-Realization
Speaking on meditation, VP Dhankhar described it as a “North Star for enlightenment and a lighthouse in troubling times.” He emphasized its role in combating mental health challenges, stating: “Meditation is not an abstract concept; it is implementable. It fosters self-awareness and strengthens democratic values through open discussions and diverse viewpoints.”

The event, attended by global meditation leaders and dignitaries, underscored India’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of preserving its democratic principles against external threats.
