PM Modi Pays Tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on His Jayanti

New Delhi, 19th Feb. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his enduring legacy of valor and leadership.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “I pay homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Jayanti. His valour and visionary leadership laid the foundation for Swarajya, inspiring generations to uphold the values of courage and justice. He inspires us in building a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous India.”

He also shared a message in Marathi, honoring Shivaji Maharaj’s contributions to nation-building and his role in shaping India’s spirit of resilience and governance.

Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, is revered for his military prowess, administrative acumen, and commitment to Swarajya. His Jayanti is celebrated with great enthusiasm across Maharashtra and other parts of India.
