New Delhi, 15th Feb. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the outgoing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of “digital loot” after the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the Delhi Chief Minister (@CMODelhi) was renamed @KejriwalAtWork and subsequently deleted. The incident has sparked a political row, with the BJP demanding an investigation.

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva lashed out at AAP, claiming that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and caretaker CM Atishi orchestrated the move. “This is a case of digital loot, and it must be investigated,” he said, tagging Kejriwal and Atishi. He accused Kejriwal of misusing government resources and called for legal action.

AAP, in response, dismissed the allegations as baseless and urged the BJP to focus on governance rather than political theatrics. The confrontation marks the continuation of the bitter AAP vs BJP rivalry as the latter prepares to form the next government in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Atishi criticized the BJP over reported power outages across the city, claiming over 40 cases had been reported in just three days. Sachdeva refuted the claim, challenging her to specify affected areas.

With the BJP yet to announce its Chief Minister, speculation is rife about the successor to Kejriwal. Sources suggest former MP Parvesh Verma is a frontrunner, having recently defeated Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency—historically held by the sitting Chief Minister since 1998.
