New Delhi, 17th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, to discuss the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in futuristic sectors such as semiconductors, digitalization, skilling, and connectivity.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of industry, infrastructure, and cultural cooperation between the two nations. Sharing details of the interaction, he posted on X, “Earlier this evening, met the President of Singapore, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam. We discussed the full range of the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. We talked about futuristic sectors like semiconductors, digitalisation, skilling, connectivity and more. We also spoke on ways to improve cooperation in industry, infrastructure and culture.”
The meeting highlights the growing ties between India and Singapore, particularly in forward-looking areas that aim to bolster economic and cultural exchanges.
