In a heartfelt message shared on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed his deep respect for Dr. Singh’s legacy. “Paid last respects to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. His service to India will always be cherished,” wrote Modi, underscoring the profound impact of Dr. Singh’s tenure on the country.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, widely regarded as the architect of India’s economic reforms, served as the nation’s 13th Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. His policies and leadership continue to influence India’s trajectory in governance, economy, and diplomacy.

The government has declared a seven-day period of national mourning in Dr. Singh’s honor, with flags flown at half-mast across the country.
