Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Inspects Preparations at Prayagraj for Mahakumbh

Prayagraj, 8th Dec. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw arrived in Prayagraj on Sunday to review the ongoing railway projects. At around 1 PM, he visited Jhunsi station, where he assessed preparations for the Mahakumbh and inspected the newly constructed Ganga Bridge. Accompanied by Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar and senior officials, Vaishnaw praised the work done at Jhunsi station and congratulated the team for their efforts.

During his visit, the General Manager of the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) showed the Minister the confluence area from the Ganga Bridge, a key site for Mahakumbh pilgrims. Vaishnaw expressed his appreciation for the progress of the railway works in the region. Following the inspection of the Ganga Bridge, the Minister proceeded to Fafamau station before heading to Prayagraj Junction, where he is expected to hold a meeting and further review the preparations.

Vaishnaw’s visit aimed at evaluating the infrastructure improvements made for the Mahakumbh Mela, which is expected to draw a massive crowd. The Minister will also inspect the control tower and passenger waiting areas at Prayagraj Junction. In the evening, he will attend a review meeting with senior officials from North Central Railway, North Railway, and Northeast Railway to discuss the ongoing works.
