Delhi Police Arrest Shrewd Criminal Who Lured Widow Women for Loot

GG News Bureau
New Delhi, 7th Dec. Delhi Police have arrested a notorious criminal, Mukim Khan, who was involved in a series of fraudulent marriages with widows, after looting them of money and jewellery. The accused, hailing from Dholpur, Rajasthan, is said to have used matrimonial websites like Shaadi.com to target vulnerable widows, posing as a wealthy businessman to gain their trust.

Khan, who has been married six times, followed a pattern in which he would marry women, usually after convincing them of his false identity, and then loot their homes on their wedding night. Once married, he would steal valuables, including cash and jewellery, before disappearing without leaving a trace.

During his marriages, Mukim did not stay with any woman for an extended period. His modus operandi was to quickly abscond with whatever valuables he could find, leaving the women devastated and shocked. Police allege that Khan had cleverly planned and executed this scheme, stealing lakhs of rupees in the process.

Mukim had several complaints against him, including one from Shastri Park police station, but managed to evade arrest multiple times. However, after his activities came to light, the Crime Branch set up a special team to track him down. Police managed to locate him using his mobile phone and arrested him on December 4 at Dholpur railway station.

During questioning, Mukim confessed to his crimes, leaving the police astounded. Authorities are now investigating how many women he deceived and which other cities he operated in. Mukim was planning his seventh marriage at the time of his arrest.
