Giridih, 14th Nov. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, mocking his political career and accusing the Congress party of failures. Speaking at an election rally in Giridih, Jharkhand, Shah remarked, “Sonia-ji tried to launch the ‘Rahul plane’ 20 times, but it crashed each time. The 21st attempt in Jharkhand will fail as well,” referring to Rahul Gandhi’s repeated electoral setbacks.

Shah further criticized the ruling JMM-led coalition in Jharkhand, accusing them of being complicit in land grabs by the Waqf Board in Karnataka. He claimed that the Waqf Board had seized farmlands and properties of ancient temples, including assets of entire villages. “The BJP will amend the Waqf Board Act in Parliament, despite opposition from Hemant Soren and Rahul Gandhi,” Shah declared, reaffirming his commitment to passing the bill.

Turning his attention to illegal immigration and Naxalism, Shah stated that once the BJP assumes power in Jharkhand, the party would deport all illegal immigrants and eradicate Naxalism from the state. He also promised to establish mineral-based industries in Jharkhand, making it the most prosperous state in India within five years.

In a direct challenge to the ruling coalition, Shah declared that the BJP would set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe corruption by JMM-led leaders, ensuring that those responsible for corruption are jailed. “Every paisa looted by the JMM-Congress leaders will be returned to the treasury,” he vowed.

Shah’s comments come as the first phase of voting in Jharkhand’s assembly elections takes place. He expressed confidence that the BJP would form the next government in the state.
