Lucknow, 12th Nov. Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for distracting the public with struggles for livelihood while pursuing communal politics. Yadav’s remarks came amid ongoing protests in Uttar Pradesh, where aspirants are voicing their dissatisfaction over the decision of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to schedule the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) exams on different dates.
The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister claimed that the BJP’s failure to prioritize jobs and its focus on divisive politics had created unrest among students. “Jobs will only be created when the BJP is ousted,” he said. Yadav highlighted the ongoing protest by students in Prayagraj, accusing the BJP of neglecting their needs and forcing them into the streets due to delayed exams and vacant posts.
He further criticized the state government for its “bulldozer politics,” saying that BJP leaders were now hiding from public anger. “If the BJP had governed with the same intensity with which it is running the bulldozer of injustice, today its members wouldn’t have to hide in their homes, fearing the anger of students,” Yadav stated.
The SP leader also noted the lack of job creation in BJP’s agenda, claiming that the government had consistently failed to release vacancies or streamline the recruitment process. He emphasized that even the educated middle class had become disillusioned with the BJP, with many parents rejecting the party’s emotional manipulation and divisive communal narrative.
“Now, these people are also rejecting the BJP’s divisive communal politics and embracing ‘positive politics that unites,’” Yadav asserted, adding that the time for BJP’s negative politics and false narratives was over.
In his post on social media platform X, Yadav also expressed his concern over the current state of affairs, stating, “Today, the atmosphere has become ‘Yogi vs. Contestant students!’” He said that the BJP had distracted students from their studies, leading to protests, and asserted that once the party is removed from power, jobs will finally be created for the youth.
