MVA’s Lust for Power Blinds Them to Consequences of Appeasement Politics: Amit Shah

GG News Bureau
Jalgaon/Buldhana, 10th Nov. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday slammed the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for its appeasement politics, particularly its stance on Muslim reservations. Shah claimed that Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole had agreed to the Ulema Council’s demand for 10% reservation for Muslims, which he said would come at the expense of existing quotas for Dalits, tribals, and Other Backward Classes.

Speaking at rallies in Raver (Jalgaon) and Malkapur (Buldhana), Shah emphasized that the MVA’s actions were driven by power-hunger, compromising long-term welfare for marginalized communities. He reiterated the BJP’s opposition to religion-based reservations and its commitment to supporting all communities equally.

Shah also criticized the MVA for undermining national security and for its opposition to key infrastructure projects during its tenure. He further highlighted the Modi government’s efforts in national security, including surgical strikes, and praised its economic contributions to Maharashtra.

Additionally, Shah refuted claims of industrial decline under the BJP, contrasting it with the MVA’s failure to fulfill promises. He reiterated that caste politics had no place in the BJP’s vision, which prioritizes the development of the poor, women, farmers, and youth.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results scheduled for November 23.
