New Delhi, 24th Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his greetings to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Himveers and their families on the occasion of ITBP Raising Day. The Prime Minister hailed the ITBP as a symbol of valor and dedication, recognizing their critical role in ensuring national security and aiding in disaster response efforts.
In a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, Prime Minister Modi expressed his admiration for the ITBP, stating, “Raising Day greetings to ITBP Himveers and their families. This Force stands tall as a symbol of valor and dedication. They protect us, including in some of the most challenging terrains and tough climatic conditions. Additionally, their efforts during natural disasters and rescue operations inspire immense pride among the people.”
The ITBP, established in 1962, is tasked with guarding the Indo-China border and has earned recognition for its bravery and effectiveness in various rescue operations, especially during natural calamities. The Prime Minister’s acknowledgment reinforces the importance of the ITBP’s commitment to safeguarding the nation while also contributing to humanitarian efforts.
