Panaji, 4th Oct. The Goa Congress’s women’s wing president, Beena Shantaram Naik, announced her resignation on Friday, expressing her desire to pave the way for the younger generation in leadership roles. In her resignation letter, Naik emphasized her commitment to continue working for the Congress as a dedicated member.
Elected as the president of the Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress in November 2021, Naik took over following the departure of former state chief Pratima Coutinho to the Aam Aadmi Party. Reflecting on her decision, Naik stated, “I believe it is the right time for me to step down and make way for the younger generation.”
Naik expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the chief of the women’s wing, describing it as an honor and privilege. “I assure you that the team we have built will continue to work for the well-being of society and the party,” she added.
