BJP Stages Protest Against Kejriwal for Occupying MP’s Bungalow

New Delhi, 4th Oct. Former Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel, accompanied by party workers, staged a protest on Friday against AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of unlawfully occupying a government bungalow allotted to his party MP, Ashok Mittal.

The demonstration took place outside the MP’s bungalow at 5 Ferozeshah Road, where Goel criticized Kejriwal for not adhering to his previous promises of avoiding the use of government luxuries. “This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who gave an affidavit stating he wouldn’t use a government bungalow, car, or security upon becoming chief minister. Yet, he occupied a mansion worth crores, like Sheesh Mahal,” Goel remarked.

Goel emphasized that the protest aimed to expose what he termed Kejriwal’s double standards to the people of Delhi. He announced his intention to lodge a complaint with the Rajya Sabha chairman regarding the situation.

In a related development, former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal vacated his residence at 6 Flagstaff Road, where he had lived for nine years, and moved to the bungalow on Ferozeshah Road, which is designated for AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal. Goel condemned this move, stating that it was improper for Kejriwal to reside in a space intended for an MP, as it is provided at subsidized rates to support parliamentary duties.

Goel reiterated his plans to file a formal complaint with the Rajya Sabha chairman, questioning how an MP could permit another individual to occupy their official residence for an extended period.
