New Delhi, 14th August. Sandeep Poundrik has officially taken over as the Secretary of the Ministry of Steel at Udyog Bhawan today.
A 1993-batch IAS officer from the Bihar cadre, Poundrik was welcomed by senior officials of the Ministry upon his arrival.
Prior to this appointment, Poundrik served as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Industries Department of Bihar, holding additional responsibilities in various other government roles. His previous experience includes serving as Advisor at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Following his assumption of office, Shri Poundrik conducted a meeting with senior Ministry officials to assess the current progress and developments in the steel sector across the country.
