Pune, 17th July. Probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar has filed a harassment case against Pune Collector Suhas Divase, alleging mistreatment following her transfer to Washim amidst allegations of misuse of power. The case comes amid controversy over her civil services selection.
Khedkar, previously posted as assistant collector in Pune, was transferred to Washim as a supernumerary assistant collector after accusations of seeking unauthorized perks. The situation escalated with her training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) being halted, and she was recalled pending further action.
A dispute arose regarding Khedkar’s disability and OBC certificates, with Pune Police investigating the authenticity of her disability certificates submitted to the UPSC. According to Dr. Rajendra Wable from Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, she holds a seven percent locomotor disability certificate issued in August 2022.
In response to ongoing allegations, Khedkar denounced a misinformation campaign against her, urging responsible reporting from the media. She recently called women police personnel to her residence for unspecified reasons.
Washim Collector Bhuvaneshwari S confirmed Khedkar’s immediate relief from duty as supernumerary assistant collector.
