New Delhi, 9th June. Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been appointed to a central government post in the Modi 3.0 administration. In the just finished Lok Sabha election, the 36-year-old leader from Srikakula in north Andhra Pradesh won a third time. He won by 3.2 lakh votes over YSRCP candidate Tilak Perada.
Naidu, the TDP’s national general secretary, is perhaps one of the younger members of the Modi 3.0 government’s Cabinet. He is the son of Yerran Naidu, a former Union Minister and leader of the TDP.
In the general elections of 2024, the TDP—a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)—won 16 of the 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP’s leader, Chandrababu Naidu, declared on Sunday that Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take the oath of office alongside two of his freshly elected members of parliament (MPs), Ram Mohan Naidu and Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani. Former Congressman and TDP leader Jayadev Galla made the announcement.
