New Delhi, 23rd April. President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand from April 23 to 24, 2024. Day 1 – April 23, 2024: The visit kicks off with President Murmu gracing the 4th convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh. This prestigious event not only acknowledges the academic achievements of graduating students but also symbolizes the nation’s investment in healthcare infrastructure and education.
Later in the evening, the President will partake in the spiritual ambiance of Rishikesh by attending the renowned Ganga Aarti. This spiritual ritual, conducted on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, serves as a profound expression of reverence and devotion, aligning with the President’s commitment to cultural heritage and spirituality.
Day 2 – April 24, 2024: On the second day of her visit, President Murmu will extend her patronage to the convocation ceremony of officer trainees belonging to the 2022 batch of the Indian Forest Service. Hosted at the esteemed Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun, this event celebrates the dedication and proficiency of future forest officers, vital stewards of India’s rich ecological diversity.
