Rahul Gandhi Extols Wayanad as “Most Beautiful Place on Earth,” Plans to Invite Mother Sonia to Visit

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extolled the natural splendor of Wayanad on Monday, hailing it as the “most beautiful place on earth” and expressing his desire to invite his mother and senior party leader, Sonia Gandhi, to visit and experience the scenic locale.

During a roadshow in Sultan Bathery earlier in the day, the Wayanad MP conveyed his deep attachment to the region, emphasizing that each visit evokes a sense of returning home.

Gandhi shared his intention to persuade his mother to spend a week or more in Wayanad, despite her reservations about the humidity. He underscored the allure of the district, urging her not to miss out on its breathtaking beauty.

Launching the second phase of his election campaign in Wayanad, Gandhi reaffirmed his strong connection with the constituency, where he clinched victory with a historic margin of 4,31,770 votes during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Wayanad, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and lush greenery nestled within the Western Ghats, has long been revered as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Its rich biodiversity, encompassing a diverse array of flora and fauna, continues to enthrall tourists, making it a perennial favorite destination.
