New Delhi, 10th April.
The partnership between India and the United States has attained unprecedented levels, particularly in the realms of technology and security, the US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has said.

Speaking at a White House news conference, Sullivan emphasized the significant strides made in the collaboration between the two nations.

“The partnership between the US and India, a country in BRICs, has gone to new heights with an engagement across technology and security and so many other dimensions,” Sullivan stated in response to questions regarding American leadership in the world amidst geopolitical shifts.

Addressing concerns about perceived declines in US leadership, Sullivan cited various instances of US engagement and influence across different regions.

He highlighted NATO’s expansion, recent historic trilateral engagements with Japan and the Philippines, and enhanced relations in the Indo-Pacific region, including with Vietnam, Indonesia, and ASEAN.

Sullivan further underscored upcoming diplomatic events, such as the state visit of Kenya’s president and previous engagements with leaders from the Pacific Islands and Africa. He noted increased US investments in infrastructure across various continents.

Regarding concerns about China’s role in supporting Russia’s defense industry, Sullivan stated that while there is no evidence of direct military aid to Russia, the US has expressed apprehensions about China’s contributions to Russia’s defense industrial base. He referenced Secretary of State Blinken’s discussions on this matter during his recent visit to Europe.

The remarks from Sullivan affirm the deepening strategic partnership between India and the United States, reflecting a commitment to bolstering cooperation across multiple domains amid evolving global dynamics.
