New Delhi, 10th March. The candidates’ names for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are slowly coming to light. Additionally, the first list of candidates for Congress was made public, and 39 individuals were awarded tickets. Rahul Gandhi’s name appears on the initial list of contenders for the Kerala Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. About 40 seats in Chhattisgarh, Kerala, and numerous other states have had the approval of candidate names. In the Rajnandgaon seat, the party has put forth former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel. Shashi Tharoor of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal of Alappuzha, Kerala, will run again. TN Prathapan, the incumbent MP representing Kerala’s Thrissur seat, has not received a ticket from the party. KC Venugopal is vying for the seat from Alappuzha, which the Congress previously lost. For the fourth time in a row, Tharoor will run from the Thiruvananthapuram seat. When asked if prominent figures had been invited to run in the Lok Sabha elections, Venugopal responded that the elections will determine the nation’s destiny. “Our goal is to win as many seats as possible in this Lok Sabha election in order to overthrow this fascist government,” he declared. That is the goal. We are searching for candidates to take that seat, wherever we can win.
“There are senior leaders in this list and in the lists that are coming up,” he stated. He hinted that the party’s next list will have the names of numerous senior leaders.
As per the list released on Friday, there are six representatives from Chhattisgarh, seven from Karnataka, sixteen from Kerala, four from Telangana, two from Meghalaya, and one each from Sikkim, Nagaland, Tripura, and Lakshadweep.

First list made public following deliberations over more than sixty seats
Ashish Kumar Saha, a candidate from Tripura (West), is on the Congress’s first list. The CEC made the announcement following talks involving over sixty Lok Sabha seats representing eleven states and union territories. The Congress Executive meeting covered the Lok Sabha seats of Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Lakshadweep.
“We are in election mode and actively campaigning with Rahul Gandhi launching the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, which is currently in Gujarat,” KC Venugopal declared. He announced that the Nyay Yatra will culminate on March 17 with a sizable rally in Mumbai, and that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is extending an invitation to all India Bloc partners to partake in that combined public demonstration. After taking office, he declared, we will create 30 lakh jobs at the center. In addition, a guarantee of apprenticeship acts will be made. Congress is aware of the paper leak issue and will take all appropriate steps to prevent it. In addition, a lot of important choices pertaining to the youth’s better future will be made.
