Ballia, 8th March. The Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP), a key ally of the BJP, has declared Arvind Rajbhar, son of party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, as its candidate for the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming general elections.
Announcing the decision, SBSP president and cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar confirmed that Arvind Rajbhar would contest from the Ghosi Lok Sabha seat. He said that discussions with the BJP had finalized one seat, with negotiations ongoing for another.
Earlier today, Rajbhar held a review meeting with SBSP leaders at the party’s headquarters in Rasra to discuss election strategies. Arvind Rajbhar, a former minister of state during the previous BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, currently serves as the principal general secretary of the SBSP. In the 2022 assembly elections, he contested from Shivpur in Varanasi district under the Samajwadi Party-led alliance but was defeated by the BJP’s Anil Rajbhar.
Om Prakash Rajbhar expressed his commitment to work closely with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to secure victories for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance across all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.
