New Delhi, 21st Dec.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs, Anurag Singh Thakur, spoke to reporters outside the Parliament House complex on Wednesday about the opposition’s disruptive behavior and disrespect towards Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Thakur stated that the opposition is frustrated and disappointed with their recent election defeat.

He said, “The insult towards the Vice President by the leaders of INDI Alliance is evidence of their arrogance, anti-constitutional mentality, and disrespect. Rahul Gandhi has amplified this misdeed, which is not only an insult to the Vice President but also to the society, Constitution, and country as a whole. The country will not tolerate this. The opposition is attempting to undermine democracy and insult the Constitution. However, people are now supporting the Vice President and standing up against this behavior. NDA MPs respect individuals holding constitutional posts.”

Thakur questioned why Sonia, Rahul, Mamta, and Kharge ji are silent about the insult towards such an important constitutional post, the ‘Vice President’. Why haven’t they apologized to the country?

He said, “the opposition, including Congress, is avoiding discussions and instead causing chaos, distracting the country from their election defeat. The frustration of the opposition is evident.”

Thakur emphasized that insulting a constitutional post like the Vice President is not casual, as claimed by Mamata Banerjee.

He said, “such individuals aspire to become Prime Minister, but their level of politics is questionable. The entire country, including NDA MPs, supports the Vice President and respects constitutional values. The opposition’s refusal to apologize shows their arrogance. This incident is not normal.”Thakur expressed concern about the declining level of politics. The incident of Rahul Gandhi making the video raises questions whether the opposition has lost its mental balance. Normal individuals would not engage in such behavior.

Thakur asked why opposition is disrupting the House which is focussed on discussing issues related to the country and why opposition leaders are not participating in the parliamentary process.
