The bloc will convene for its fourth meeting on Tuesday, with discussions on seat-sharing for next year’s Lok Sabha elections expected to be a prominent topic.

Seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which are only four months away, will be a key agenda item for the next INDIA bloc meeting. The third meeting of the Opposition alliance was held in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1.

The alliance, led by the Congress, was formed with the primary goal of collectively challenging the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming general elections.During the Mumbai meeting, the partners in the Opposition bloc adopted resolutions to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together and announced that seat-sharing arrangements would be finalized through a spirit of compromise as soon as possible.
