President Murmu Pays Floral Tributes to Former President V V Giri on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, 10th Aug. President Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to V.V. Giri, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday (August 10, 2023).

Varahagiri Venkata Giri was an Indian politician and activist who served as the fourth president of India from 24 August 1969 to 24 August 1974. He was also third vice president of India from 13 May 1967 to 3 May 1969. He is the first president to be elected as an independent candidate.
